Face data and TrueDepth use
Prexbi uses ARKit TrueDepth face tracking only while automatic distance tracking is active. The app derives transient numeric signals from the TrueDepth session, including face-to-screen distance, blink level, squint level, eye-wide level, and gaze stability or depth. These signals are used only to adjust the reading experience on device.
Prexbi does not collect, store, upload, or share camera frames, photos, videos, depth maps, face geometry, face meshes, biometric identifiers, facial recognition templates, or Face ID data. The TrueDepth-derived signals are not used to identify or authenticate a person, are not used for advertising or analytics, and are not retained after the live reading session.
Camera use
The front camera is used on device with TrueDepth to estimate face-to-screen distance and comfort signals such as blink, squint, and gaze stability. Processing is on-device and no images are stored.
On-device processing
All processing related to distance, TrueDepth-derived visual comfort signals, calibration, typography adjustments, OCR, text-to-speech position, and Android accessibility support happens on device.

Local settings remain until you delete them in Settings or uninstall the app.
Third-party sharing
We do not share, sell, or transfer data to third parties.
Retention and deletion
