Summary

Prexbi processes reading comfort signals on device to adjust text, focus, voice, and accessibility support. On iPhone this can include face-to-screen distance and visual effort signals derived from TrueDepth while automatic distance tracking is active. On Android this can include optional accessibility support over selected apps. We do not collect personal data, do not store images, screen content, audio, or face data, and do not perform facial recognition.

This policy applies to the Prexbi iPhone and Android app operated by INGEK S.A.S..

Data collected

Face data and TrueDepth use

Prexbi uses ARKit TrueDepth face tracking only while automatic distance tracking is active. The app derives transient numeric signals from the TrueDepth session, including face-to-screen distance, blink level, squint level, eye-wide level, and gaze stability or depth. These signals are used only to adjust the reading experience on device.

Prexbi does not collect, store, upload, or share camera frames, photos, videos, depth maps, face geometry, face meshes, biometric identifiers, facial recognition templates, or Face ID data. The TrueDepth-derived signals are not used to identify or authenticate a person, are not used for advertising or analytics, and are not retained after the live reading session.

Camera use

The front camera is used on device with TrueDepth to estimate face-to-screen distance and comfort signals such as blink, squint, and gaze stability. Processing is on-device and no images are stored.

On-device processing

All processing related to distance, TrueDepth-derived visual comfort signals, calibration, typography adjustments, OCR, text-to-speech position, and Android accessibility support happens on device.

Local data storage

Local settings remain until you delete them in Settings or uninstall the app.

Third-party sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer data to third parties.

Retention and deletion

TrueDepth-derived face data is not retained. Local settings remain until you delete them in Settings or uninstall the app.

Permissions

Camera permission is used only while automatic distance tracking is active to estimate face-to-screen distance and reading comfort signals on device. Android accessibility support is optional and can be turned off in Prexbi settings or revoked in Android Accessibility settings.

Children

Prexbi is not directed to children under 13 and does not collect their data.
